The Baltic Seaports and Shipping Conference 2017 is this year in Tallinn, Estonia. Stig is present as a speaker on Thursday and as chair of the sessions on Friday.
Tallinn is famous for it’s IT cluster and high tech industry which is a great advantage for the port sector as well. Changes in technology and maritime processes require knowledge from other sectors. Having an international IT sector present is a good example of a crossover between city and port. This topic was presented by Stig. Cooperation and integral planning creates synergies and benefits for both city and port.
Because of the interaction that is required for future port- and city planning and developments, our port center planning product can be of good use.
Together with Mr. Valdo Kalm, Chairman of the Management Board of Port of Tallinn and Mr. Margus Vihman, Chief Commercial Officer of Port of Tallinn, Stig was host of Mrs. Kadri Simson, Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure / Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia. She officially opened the conference.
