Business development resulted in investment of additional quay walls no. 5 an 6 in the Mississippi basin, intended for ship loading at the EMO terminal on Maasvlakte 1 Rotterdam. The challenge was to streamline this project on a peninsula with limited access where - at the same time – energy company Electrabel (part of the GDF Suez group) is investing in a coal-powered – energy plant with an investment volume in excess of 1 billion euros, EMO is investing in large scale rearrangements of its conveyor belt and ship loading system and the materialization of the Amazone project is about to take place. StigΔ progressed plans while supervising an expert team in a multi-disciplinary context.
