In June 2013, 24 major Dutch companies in the gas, maritime and energy sectors will visit Mozambique on a trade mission.
In recent years, huge gas discoveries have been made in northern Mozambique. Dutch expertise in the field of maritime infrastructure, gas and energy can play a significant role here. Innovative and sustainable solutions, the Dutch trademark, may provide alternatives to traditional solutions for the logistical challenges that Mozambique faces.
The mission will include visits to Maputo, Nacala and Pemba where major developments are taking place. The mission will be headed by mr. Marten van den Berg (deputy secretary for Foreign Trade) and mr. Christiaan Rebergen (deputy director-general for International Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
